Our objectives are to give support to those in need of social interactions as a solution for a variety of problems. We will mostly interact with residents of nursing homes or those who have been affected elsewhere as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This program may also give volunteers a chance to gain different perspectives on the overlooked issues in society. Through this program, we would also like to spread awareness of the isolation problems that affect many individuals.

The pen pal program is a weekly activity where high school students and seniors in nursing homes write letters to each other about relatable past events, hobbies and interests, jokes, fun facts, and recent news (excluding COVID-19.)
The live video communication program is a weekly activity where high school students and seniors in nursing homes call using online apps such as Zoom and FaceTime to encourage connections and foster new relationships for residents in need of social interaction.
Members of our pen pal program have come together to showcase their creatively decorated letters and envelopes. Make sure to give us (@alovinglink) a follow on Instagram!
